Members of Gay and Lesbian across Down (GLAD) have been seen out training on golf greens across County Down in advance of the group’s next event.

Not usually known for their competitiveness, GLAD’s team spirit has been cast aside in preparation for its Crazy Golf Event due to take place on Tuesday 16 February 2010 at 7.30pm.

The group will meet at Pirates Adventure Golf (opposite Dundonald Ice Bowl). In the event of bad weather the group will instead play a game of Ten Pin Bowling at Dundonald Ice Bowl.

Commenting on the event, a GLAD spokesperson stated “It is certain to be a fun event were group members dexterity and ability to pot a hole in one will be tested, to the extreme!. The event is open to all lesbian, gay and bisexual people plus their friends and family, regardless of whether they live, from Bangor to Ballymena, Newtownards to Newry. No need exists to pre register your attendance”.
