Gay and Lesbian across Down (GLAD) have announced details of their Third Birthday celebrations.

GLAD will celebrate its Third Birthday at Café Kina, High Street, Holywood. The event will start at 7.30pm on Thursday 17 June 2010 with an Annual Meeting followed by another Coffee and Cake event at 8pm which will include a fun quiz.

Free filtered coffee will be available to those attending the General Meeting with a slice of Birthday Cake available to those who arrive in time.

Admission and the quiz will also be free but those attending will have to pay for any speciality coffees e.g. Cappuccinos and Lattés, plus any of the great pastries and on sale by Café Kina.

Commenting on event, a GLAD spokesperson stated, “The event will be a good opportunity for a chat and some craic, with a fun quiz. It will also be a opportunity to people to find out what GLAD has planned for the year ahead via the General Meeting with those in attendance able to join the co-ordinating committee and help shape the future of GLAD”.

The event is open to all lesbian, gay and bisexual people plus their friends and family, regardless of where they live, from Bangor to Ballymena, Newtownards to Newry.
